Installing Above Ground Pools (instructions)
YOU CAN INSTALL YOUR POOL YOURSELF
Pool Owner's are Responsible for Proper Permits, Fencing and Locating of Utilities (Call 1-800-DIG-RITE it's a free service). Pools are not allowed to be installed under or near Electric Lines or Broadband Internet (Cable, DSL) wiring. Do not install pools on top of Sewer, water or any buried utilities. Pools are to be installed on firm level ground, not on piled up dirt or sand. Do not backfill dirt against the pool wall, it will collapse or corrode the pool wall.
It is your responsibility to ensure your pool is installed correctly, all pools come with instructions, and videos are available for reference. Not all installers will follow the manufacturer's installation instructions exactly. It is your responsibility to check out references and to hire the person that installs or repairs your pool. We advise you to read and understand the installation instructions of your pool before hiring a contractor. Discuss the expectations you have and supervise the actual installation in accordance with the manufacturers directions.
Installation contractors usually provide Concrete Blocks & Patio Blocks and Lime Stone Sand Base Materials. Lime sand is rough and corrosive, we recommend Happy Bottom and Original Pool Cove, to protect the pool & liner if pool is installed with lime sand.
If Pool-Krete is used for the pool floor, the wall of the pool should be protected with wall foam, to prevent wall abrasion and corrosion from the cement in the Pool-Krete, and to prevent concrete trowels from scratching the wall.
Manufacturer warranties only cover defective components, and do not cover the cost of labor & materials. The $89.95 Lomart Enhanced Liner Warranty for $800 coverage of Labor or Materials for defective liners during the initial installation or up to 3 years due to a Manufacturing defect in the liner.
